while we're talking about keel design and such...I have a free Velocity Prediction Program available on my website (http://home.comast.net/~sailrmann/PCsail_VPP.zip). I didn't create it; I've never had time to try it. It was created by one of the Professors at University of Michigan's naval architecture program. I can say that it is not trivial to complete.
