What I said was in fun, mainly poking fun at my OWN stupid obsession
with racing and boatspeed.
I am deeply sorry (and somewhat mystified) that it offended you, which I
would never purposefully
do in a million years. I've always thought of our internet relationship
as cordial and in the brotherhood
of C27 fanciers as being somewhat self-deprecating and humorous.
The issues here were potential boats for a new buyer. I endorsed the
Hunter 28.5 and still do. The
rest of the blather has been on the merits of Hunters vs Catalinas,
S2's, whatever, and I thought
I'd interject a little humor at my expense (poor reader, jumping to
conclusions about boatspeed and
the tendency to embellish the speedo's figure by a few knots, etc.)
about the relative merits of
Hunters and the ability to sail them fast.
So, anyway, please don't take what I said as an attempt to either show
you up or
correct your grammar (you have to admit, it WAS just a tad ambiguous).
