Man I so wish this discussion applied to me. But with a blown out old main sail I don't have any real sail shape anyway. She still sails better than most 30 footers.

Seems like a penny-wise decision to me...obviously within reason...a full wardrobe of WarpSpeed or PoBOn would be ridiculous on a C27, admittedly. As far as the Regatta Braid, since, when you are trimmed in, you are probably only a couple feet at most (and maybe just a few inches at the least...depending on where your jib leads are and how big your genny is) stretch is much less of a factor....a whopping 4 perecent over 18inches is only 3/4 inch..so, yeah, GO THE REGATTA BRAID!!!
