I personally think it's a bit of a stretch to suggest that *recruitment* spam is covered by that statement. The statement above is in the context of being a member of an *online study list*. I get the "CCIE Candidate" newsletters from IPexpert, which I also didn't sign up for, but I suppose I can accept as being covered by the above statement. Anyway, it's clear that you think it's OK for your contact details to be provided to Platinum Placement (irrespective of the link to IPexpert). I don't.
