You have brought up some great points - and I wanted to chime in and
respond with hopes of clearing this up, or at least explaining our position.
First, our services - which we provide to thousands of people - free of
charge - have an opt-in / out message that allow you to not be contacted. I'm
guessing that you either didn't notice it (left the default option checked -
opting in) or were (at one point) ok with getting notices on training
promotions / discounts, career opportunities, etc. Platinum Placement Services
is an IPexpert-owned company that falls within these opt-in parameters.
Secondly, I'm not sure why you're spending countless moments discussing
this on a free email list that we provide....the PPS email that went out didn't
try to *sell* you anything. In fact, it was a free service announcement -
offering you, and the various subscribers, a service (career assistance). You
have now probably spent about 10x the amount of time expressing your feelings
when this could have been resolved by clicking the "unsubscribe" link and / or
emailing me - or the PPS email administrator directly. I don't think we "spam"
or harass our clients. In fact, I get just as annoyed as you do (probably much
more annoyed! ;-) when people do that to me - so I am very cautious when my
marketing team or Sales Manager bring up these types of emails.
I have sent your email to my COO and Marketing Manager and have directed
them to remove you from future PPS announcements. We will be offering several
free seminars (online) that focus on resume writing, salary guidance, etc - so
if you're ever interesting in those services or offerings (complementary to our
members and students) you will have to go to the PPS website and register.
I'm sorry if this had caused you (and / or anyone else reading this) any
form of headache or if we have wasted your time - that was not our intent - our
intent was to help.
