Prior to starting my lab in RTP, the proctor made a point of telling us that he could not power cycle the equipment for us. As for debugs, you may want to consider sending it to buffer and not the console if you're fixing to do something drastic ... that will be easier on the CPU.
Also "reload in 10" and a healthy dose of paranoia before enabling aaa (test your telnet access immediately) can be helpful in avoiding this crisis. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Christophe Lemaire Sent: Thursday, December 01, 2011 5:52 AM To: -Hammer- Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_RS] LAB environment question Hi, I was more thinking a power off / power on... I'm asking because today I was doing some debug and I forgot the ospf timer were quite aggressive... I haven't been able to stop the debug, even by typing blindly undebug all. The only option I've found was to shutdown the router and restart it... Regards, Christophe On 01 Dec 2011, at 11:27, -Hammer- wrote: > as in "reload"? Yes. you can write your config to memory and reload. It's actually recommended by many folks to be done before lunchtime for validation purposes but I know other folks don't do it and are still fine.
