That may be true if you're using GNS. There hasn't been a new Dynamips
or Dynagen build for some time, so the repo packages for those are "up
to date." The Dynagen repo build is 0.11.0, and the Dynamips is
0.2.8-RC2.

GNS is nifty for the integration with PEMU/QEMU and vBox, but if
you're just trying to make the Cisco stuff work, explore Dynagen
without the GNS UI. There's a bit of a learning curve but once I
decided to figure it out it only took an evening to get going with it
from the CLI.
