Idlemax!!!!
hardware is not the issue - use the idlemax command:

[[2691]]
        image = C:\IMAGE\c2691.bin.unpacked
        idlepc = 0x60bb93b8
        idlemax = 100
        ghostios = True

Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_RS] GNS3 Performance

i had similar problem the first time i run GNS3 over my Dell Precision
M6500 notebook with Windows 2008r2 enterprice.

the main problem was the performance tunning of windows... when it's
running on balanced or even economy, it's sooooo slow as my Pentium D
3.0Ghz, and then, i'll put the Performance mode of the notebook, and
WOOOW... runs flawless...

my second though it's about memory ram of your notebook, maybe you need to
put more ram to run all of those routers, taking in advice 12 routers with
256MB on each of them (256*12 ==>3GB and that's just for the routers image,
and not for the OS or the GNS3 (dynamips image), so, try to move ahead on
x64 and put more ram on this notebook.

hope that helps you enough to get fixed your problem my friend.

greetings from chile
