Tried that too. that still does not do it.

interface Loopback1
 ip address 10.10.222.1 255.255.255.252
 ip ospf network point-to-point
!
interface Service-Engine0/0
 ip unnumbered Loopback1
 ip ospf network point-to-point
 service-module ip address 10.10.222.2 255.255.255.252
 service-module ip default-gateway 10.10.222.1
!
ip route 10.10.222.2 255.255.255.255 Service-Engine0/0

Still can't ping for the router iself.
BR2-RTR#ping 10.10.222.2
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.10.222.2, timeout is 2 seconds:

It has got to be something specific to loopbacks be cause when I use the
vlan interface it works right away.
