We are trying to get a server with dual AMD Opteron 2200SE CPUs running Redhat ES4 OS. Does anybody have experience on compiling crystallographic programs such as ccp4, cns....on AMD powered machines? Will it be a problem? Or we should stay with Intel Xeon servers?
