These responses are in line with what I'd recommend. First, NVidia presently has the drivers with fewest number of PyMOL bugs (then ATI, then Intel) across all platforms. Their Linux support, has for years, outstripped the competition. Next, if you're doing anything graphics related, I'd highly suggest moving away from integrated boards. Last, the integrated mobile boards are the worst offenders--I'm looking at you Intel GM945!--so if you can help it, stay away from them.
