Republican presidential candidate Trump's reaction to the carnage in
Orlando, while predictable, is still jarring in its utter lack of
credibility and utility. Here is a guy who is aspiring to become the free
world's leader in about seven months, when he is inaugurated as the
President of the United States should he win the election in November.

He doesn't have a clue on what he can say and not say as a potential world
leader. He is yakking that he is right about his plan to ban Muslims from
entering the United States in the future should he become president. More
than one billion Muslims in the world - banned from entering the U.S. if
Trump becomes president. How many Muslims have been responsible for the
murder of innocents in the U.S.? No more than fifty. Out of more than 1
billion.

How many home-grown, non-Muslim terrorists and serial killers responsible
for mass murders in the U.S.? Many more than the Muslims.

The fact is, you can't prevent mass murders. Insanity will always be with
us. Mentally unstable people will snap and commit mass murder. People who
are ultra-religious will snap and commit mass murder. If you don't believe
this, examine the backgrounds of those who murder abortion doctors. Many
of those are born-again Christians. Do we call born-again Christians
terrorists because of those murders?

How does society protect against such people, knowing that it cannot
protect against all of them, but as Hillary Clinton has said, society can
protect against some and therefore save lives?

1. *Through better investigating techniques.* The guy who murdered
innocents in the Pulse night club in Orlando had been investigated by the
FBI twice in 2013, but the FBI found nothing and did not continue its
surveillance. The FBI was ineffective. Hillary is right: the FBI must do
a much better job.

2. *An assault rifle ban must be in effect immediately.* A campaign
against the NRA (National Rifle Association), which opposes the ban, must
be a part of the Hillary campaign for president.

Trump says that if there is a ban against the sale of assault weapons, only
the criminals and crazies will have assault weapons. This is total
nonsense. Criminals and crazies buy their assault weapons shortly before
they commit their mass murders. If they cannot buy the weapons, what will
they use? Glocks? They won't be able to kill as many.

And has there ever been a case where the innocents were able to prevent the
mass killings because the innocents also had assault weapons? Trump says
the solution is to arm the innocents with assault weapons so they can
defend themselves. Who would give kids money to buy assault weapons so
they can take those weapons along with them when they have fun in a night
club? Imagine kids toting assault weapons in the streets, in churches, in
restaurants. Everyone with an assault weapon walking around in parks, in
schools, in government buildings, in buses and taxis.

This is the world that Trump envisions. Trump says private citizens must
have the capability to buy assault weapons because they need those weapons
to protect themselves against the terrorists and mass murderers.

So much for that insanity.

I suggest that private individuals who already own assault weapons must be
prohibited from selling such weapons to private individuals and groups
without an official permit from the ATF to conduct the sale.

All existing assault weapons in the hands of private individuals and groups
must be registered with the ATF, like cars are registered each year in the
state where they are located. This is to make sure that the weapons are
still in possession of those who originally bought them.

And Trump must shut up about President Obama. He insinuates that Obama is
a secret Muslim because Obama can't utter the term "radical Islamic
terrorism." Trump is absolutely incapable of projecting himself as a
responsible leader. Imagine if Trump as president starts to call the
Muslim terrorists as a part of the larger Radical Islamic Terrorism. The
whole Islamic world would react with more hatred for Americans because what
the term suggests is that there is a movement within the Islamic religion
that is radicalized and is terrorist.

The international Islamic community rejects the tactics of the terrorists
in their midst and are fighting great wars against ISIS, or ISIL, or Dash.
Before that the Islamic community fought Al Qaida. They are also fighting
the Taliban.

The Islamic community denies that the terrorists in their midst are
Islamic. They are not Islamic, according to the Muslims, just as the IRA
in Ireland, though made up of Catholics, did not represent Catholic
teachings. There is no place in Islam for people who use that religion to
commit mass murder, according to those who practice that religion.

No responsible world leader calls the terrorists Radical Islamic
Terrorists. Why would Obama be the first one to do that?

As private individuals, we can have the opinion that there is in fact a
faction of the Islamic world that is terrorist. And we can say that -
privately. But for a leader of a country, especially the United States, to
say that, it would lead to a real war with the 1 billion Muslims, most of
whom are disowning the terrorists in their midst.

The fact that Obama recognizes that the world's Muslims have a right to a
good name for their religion means that Obama is a Muslim, according to
Trump. When one defends the rights of African-Americans, does that make
one a black man or woman? When one argues for the rights of women to
better pay and better treatment, does that make one a woman? When one
argues that gays have a right to exist and do whatever it is they want to
do when they are together, does that make one gay?

Trump's logic is child-like. It's really a wonder that he is now the
presumptive nominee for president of one of the two major political parties
in the U.S. The Republican voters today should have their heads examined.
They have nominated a man who very likely descended from the same branch of
the Germanic nation that thinks of itself as the superior race who can
bully everyone that the nation happens to hate. His hate speech is
reminiscent of another leader who comes from that Germanic nation: Hitler.
