A-Rod is a great player.  Jeter is a good player that was fortunate enough
to be surrounded by other good players.  He got off to a great start in his
career.  Only problem is he hasn't really projected out as well as he
should have.

Mariano is the primary reason the Yanks won so many WS.  He shortens the
game to 8 innings, sometimes 7 when Torre called him in early.  This is
huge impact because it means the Yankees have 27 outs while the opposition
has 21-24 outs.  Outs are one of the few limited resource you have in
baseball; and undeniably the most important.

Outside of Matsui, Williams, and Riviera - I'm not really felling this team.

I have no ill towards Clemens.  He was a free agent, turned down money, and
he signed with another team.  Completely within the rules.
