An interesting sidenote to this: the majority of Americans are Christian.
The only thing keeping this majority from imposing Christian-only views on
the country as a whole is that one beautiful clause that begins "Congress
shall make no law........". If that were to ever be lost, that'd be enough
to get me to pack up my bags and head for higher ground.
Yep, here is the exact clause...
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Very interesing.
I wonder what other religions are out there.
