Michael and I are staying at the Hampton Inn (1201 Convention Center Blvd., Phone #: 504-566-9990). This is where we'll be holding the Community Suite. The Hampton Inn happens to be right across the street from the Conference Center and the closest hotel to the actual site of the conference. (By that I mean that the Conference Center is massively huge (and yes, the words had to be used together -- massively huge) and the Hilton is actually on the other side of the building from where MAX is being held.)

For a better idea, check out this map:

http://www.neworleanscvb.com/new_site/conventions/HotelMAP.swf

Scroll down a bit and to the left with those arrows on the bottom to see the convention center and the hotels around it. The Hampton Inn is #44. The Hilton is #11. MAX is being held in Hall J of the center which is towards the leftmost end of the building.

(Note: The address on the map for Hampton Inn and the distance from the convention center is wrong.)

Website for the Hampton Inn: http://neworleanshamptoninns.com

Listed price for hotel rooms on the site: $69 a night

So, hey, why don't we just take over the Hampton Inn, and have every single floor a ColdFusion floor? Yes, we'll have the main community suite, but that means that every single door can be open, and everyone can just wander in and out and talk to each other, and we'll be a community of communities!!!

: )
