Dems loved him, so it really has nothing to do with what they really think.
Problem for the Democrats is that since they aren't running FOR anything, but
are running AGAINST Bush, they need to find things to attack so that they
don't have to propose anything.

Personally, I think it's pretty clear that Bush was gold-bricking during his
service in Alabama, I just don't see how it matters at this point. All this
stuff (and worse, remember the drunk driving thing?) came out in the 2000
election.
