explicitly mention immigration as a separate issue. This paragraph
could be read to involve such things as daycare for welfare mothers
and outsourcing. Both are good issues but one thing this did not make
me think of was immigration.

That was kinda were I was going with this:

>How do we balance our country's traditional role of land of opportunity with
>the short-term and long-term impacts of cost of labor for both business and
>laborers combined with local impact on education, healthcare and social
>program costs?

How would you reword?

  Great list, Andy.

What about immigration policy? It has been on the back burner since 9/11
because of security issues, but long-term it is a huge issue. Undocumented
workers are a significant part of our economy, especially in the Southwest but
in other parts of the country as well. What should U.S. policy be in regard to
undocumented workers and immigration in general?
