I appreciate your thought.  On possible Oracle concern, honestly I have pretty solid knowledge and experience in relational database technology, I even wrote an application that is able to manipulate RDBMS {SQL Server, Oracle(Oracle8i), IBM DB2 UDB}, functions go beyond basic business need... which should be proof that getting up to speed on the version of Oracle that their client is using should not be a problem for me.

Besides, I might be a strategic asset to the corporation considering my background, which I did not try to sell to them, to avoid confusion (if they have not thought about that or do not think so).

Update:
I've sent email "thank you note", they should be equivalent to letter, don't you think?  Or email might be construed as less formal, hence, less grateful in degree?
