I've been trying not to get involved in most of the "terrorism discussions" on the list, but I do want to just mention that it would be wrong for the US government to take the position of deporting all immigrants and other non-citizens, Asian or otherwise. To do so would be in direct contradiction with what we try to represent and idealize - freedom and equality. I wouldn't be proud to be an American if we started doing things like that. Terrorism is horrible and so is racial profiling. I'm marrying an Indian woman this december and yes, the wedding is in India. I will be on the other side of the fence - the one being profiled and in danger. Will it stop me from going, no. I feel very sorry for the Asian folks in this country right now... they face unnecessary fear.... and I believe they are all very brave for sticking this out.
