I agree it is wrong to Discriminate against these people but we need to do something. I mean the ones who did do this to us, we didn't know they were terrorists, at least we didn't know some of them were suspected terrorist, so how do we know that the ones that are here are not terrorists. We have to protect our way of living somehow and if it means deporting some individuals our doing extensive background checks to the people that are already here and to the ones that want to come here, I believe it needs to be done.

To do so would be in direct contradiction with what we try to represent and idealize - freedom and equality. I wouldn't be proud to be an American if we started doing things like that. Terrorism is horrible and so is racial profiling. I'm marrying an Indian woman this december and yes, the wedding is in India. I will be on the other side of the fence - the one being profiled and in danger. Will it stop me from going, no. I feel very sorry for the Asian folks in this country right now... they face unnecessary fear.... and I believe they are all very brave for sticking this out. ~Simon Simon Horwith Macromedia Certified Instructor Certified Advanced ColdFusion 5 Developer Fig Leaf Software 1400 16th St NW, # 500 Washington DC 20036 202.797.6570 (direct line) www.figleaf.com -----Original Message----- From: Lee [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, October 05, 2001 2:19 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: 100 percent chance of another attack >Let me guess, you're guilty until proven innocent. A question lee, have you >ever heard of the Constitution? How about the Bill of Rights? I think it >would be a good idea to study these documents on occasion. > Um Larry. They are not US citizens. The constitution does not apply to them. We would not be incarcerating them. We would simply be telling them to go home for a while. >Of the people here on student visas the vast majority are from countries >such as Canada, England and Asian countries. Yep that is unfortunate, but you either have to send them all home or engage in time consuming background checks and profiling. We don't have the time right now. >is your idea of a utopia, I want no part of your fascist >fantasies. LOL. You're the fascist Larry. I'm simply concerned about the safety of the US people which our government is really dragging their feet on. This is an emergency situation. Our government has failed in providing security. Hard action is required. Just sit back, watch some football games and ignore reality Larry.
