With Mr. Bush, fiscally, we have a known quantity: 1.) Discretionary spending increases at twice the rate of Mr. Clinton (~8%). 2.) The largest expansion of the federal government since Pres. Johnson (The "Great Society") 3.) A willful ignorance of the coming Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid crisis. 4.) The first President that has never vetoed a spending bill. With Mr. Kerry we know: 1.) He's broke with his own party to support a balanced budget. 2.) He supports the reinstatement of the pay-go rules. 3.) He's promised he won't raise taxes (which, with pay-go, may mean he won't spend more than he can pay for) Conclusion: + Mr. Bush has been fiscally irresponsible and hasn't indicated he's willing to change. + Mr. Kerry has been fiscally responsible and has promised he will continue to be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| The annual ColdFusion User Conference is being held Sat 6/26 - Sun 6/27/04 8am-5pm in the Washington DC Area. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=44 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:131565 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
