Ah. I wouldn't use the word faith. But I do believe that the strongest leaders have core beliefs around which they center their decisions. These core beliefs provide a predictability for those working with them and gives them the strength to tackle unpleasant and unpopular tasks.
Also, I was responding to a question about what I use to decide which candidate will be better, and the "facts" are never clear. For example, is Kerry for the war in Iraq or against? Based on the "facts", I'd say he was for the President having the power to decide, but against the decision that Bush made. However, in order to decide how he would have acted, I need to not listen to what he says since his view is modified by hindsight, but look at his opinions, perspectives and beliefs to decide. I gain these from looking at the facts of his life. This includes Vietnam, his voting record and past leadership. This have worked together to create a perspective on the world and the US's role in it. That leads me to think that he would only operate unilaterally after the damage had been done. These won't be out and digested for years. I wasn't writing about Mr. Bush, I was writing about you. I thought it was interesting that you felt that while personality plays a role in who's elected you thought that, "opinions, perspectives and beliefs matter more." I thought this was interesting because it shows a preference for a faith based decision maker rather than a analytical based one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=37 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:133128 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
