But that is also true in London, in Washington DC and in Boston. The
media seldom reports success. Always failure. You don't see stories
about new buildings, roads or schools in Boston, just school closings,
church closings, big dig cost overruns, tunnel leaks, and political
corruption and infighting.

It has little to do with politics, just with the current nature of
news reporting.
