I know that, historically, I've been seen as being on the Palestinian side. Really I'm on the "can't we all just get along side", but Michael has inspired me to do some reading. Having done so, I'm much closer to Michael's position for this reason: I view many of the problems this country has not so much on Mr. Bush, but on the people that elect him. In the same way the Palestinians are/were horribly led. Who's to blame? Them of course. (although some would argue they're far from a safe democracy) In any event, my 2 second summary is this: 1.) Both sides are guilty of heinous acts of "terrorism", violence, etc. 2.) The majority of both sides would prefer to live in peace. Were this to happen the region would likely become a major economic power. They are throwing away their future with this war. 3.) The Palestinians MUST get their leadership together and then FOLLOW. In a nutshell, the Palestinians consistently fail at getting their own momentum moving behind a unified leadership. While the Israelis could take my advice and constantly take the high road, nothing will change until the Palestinians can unify. And American foreign policy exacerbates this problem. Not to mention French foreign policy and UN policy. But then I'm still reading up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:173978 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
