The reason that works for food is because people don't get addicted to food
in the same way they get addicted to drugs.

And food is something people need to live, the government provides that type
of assistance because people ought not die from a lack of something we have
an abundance of.

Drug houses don't answer the addiction question. Either the government will
be providing drug houses for non-productive members of society that have no
intention of quitting, or it will not solve the drug related crime and
street dealing that we currently have.
