Sony totally did not impress me with what I saw on the various sites. There was nothing from them that was truly standout as a must have PS3 title. Most of the titles that interested me were also out for Xbox360.
The God Of War? Great..Heavenly Sword...doesn't really interest me. GT5...looks like more of the same. No talk of improved AI, a pre-rendered trailer with no true in-game shots. Then there is the other action title..Infamous...In something where you supposedly have godlike powers. That reminded me of Psi-Ops where you had Telekenisis powers etc. Now compare that with Microsoft. Mass Effect exclusive looking great, GTA with special 360 content, PGR4. Fable 2 360 exclusive, Ace Combat 6 360 exclusive. I mean even bloody Metal Gear might be available on the 360 as well! After the PS3 launch I don't trust any marketing material that sony puts out whatsover. Until the actual game appears on review sites, as far as I am concerned everything Sony says is a pre-rendered lie. I think the PS3 is just totally underachieving. The PSP is simply....not relevant anymore. A slimmer design, overclocked, more Ram whatever is just not relevant. The same thing they did with the PSP they did with the PS3. The PSP was supposed to push the UMD format. The PS3 was supposed to push the Blu-Ray format. If they spent more time developing great gaming platforms instead of seemingly having the gaming as an aside to pushing a proprietary format I think both products would have been a lot better. I'm still waiting on the PS3 to WOW me. The PSP just...it never did and I'm really done waiting now ^_^. The DS just beats it in all ways except graphics.
