I've got DirecTV for the sunday ticket (Giants fan living in Cali).

The only reason I have the satellite vs cable is the Sunday Ticket. I
really have no preference one way or the other... other than I
wouldn't opt for having to put a dish on my roof and run lines if i
didn't have to.

in FL we had Comcast and their DVR was somewhat lacking. With
DirecTV, you get a TiVo (well, i've heard they have their own branded
DVR now... but we have a DirecTV tivo, which is nice).

Be aware... the Sunday Ticket doesn't come in HD out of the box. You
need to pay $100 extra for the "Superfan" package.

Allow me to rant... :)

I'm paying an extra few bucks a month for the HD to begin with. I
paid more for my box because it's HD. I pay $250 for the Sunday
Ticket. So I'm already paying for the Sunday Ticket, and I'm already
paying for HD.... but you bloodsucking fucks want me to pay an extra
$100 to get the Sunday Ticket in HD. Yes, they'll tell you that the
Superfan package gives you "so much more" than just HD. Bullshit. I
have yet to use any aspects of the Superfan package (other than
watching the games in HD). They're all worthless "features" that were
thrown in just so the customer reps could say, "the superfan package
gives you more than just HD".

I got the Superfan package for free last year, as it was my first year
signing up (at a new location) and they threw it in as part of the
package.

I've heard that if you call and bitch (threaten to cancel the Sunday
Ticket), they'll offer you the superfan package for free. I'll be
trying that out soon.

Fuckers.
