Actually since I have a rather dark sense of humor, I find humor in many seemingly tragic events, including this one. But I keep these thoughts to myself and enjoy the humor inside and laugh inside. So when people see me smiling a lot, I guess they assume I am just a happy man. :)
Speaking of death and dying, I am reading a pretty funny book by Christopher Moore called A Dirty Job. Basically it is about a man named Charlie Asher who unknowingly becomes a 'Death Merchant', or as he calls it, a Santa's helper for Death. He has to collect what are called Soul Vessels. These are deeply personal items that mean the world to someone who is dying/has died. The item glows red and pulses. That is how he knows what to collect. For instance, one Soul Vessel is a chicks pair of fake tits. Yes, the silicone gel thingy's in her tits. This is the kind of shit he (the author) thinks up. Charlie collects the items and stores them in his second hand store until the person re-emerges in another form (re-incarnation if you will) and comes to retrieve the item. I am about 3/4 of the way though and it is non-stop humor. Very funny read for those of us with a dark sense of humor. Oh, and the book cover glows in the dark. Very cool. Come on back to me now...
