I can't say which city is more hardcore, and I cannot say with 100%
certainty if there are still neighborhoods that are verboten to certain
folks, but I am just not going to tempt fate and I will venture where I know
it is safe. Perhaps some of these neighborhoods are a little better now, but
like I said, why take unnecessary risks.

LA must be much more hardcore than NYC because I've never found a
neighborhood I can't enter. Maybe it's since I grew up in a mixed
neighborhood.
