So I've never watched the TV series (Stargate SG1). I did like the movie - a lot - when it came out and we have it on DVD, but I just never once took the time to watch the TV show.
The other day I was in Walmart, wandering aimlessly through electronics and media whilst my wife shopped (I'm drawn to the glow of the wall of HD televisions) and I see Stargate SG1 series DVDs on an endcap. $20 a set. Not bad, so I pick up Season 1. I've watched the pilot plus 9 episodes so far, and it's a damn fine show! And now I find out they made 10 FREAKIN' SEASONS! I have to go buy 9 more seasons of this show, plus of course I'll have to buy the new stargate movie coming out on DVD in March and then the one after that too. Damn, that's an expensive series to just start watching, isn't it?
