Rick-

I'm a total Stargate junkie and have seen just about every episode for
all 10 seasons. I think I missed a couple in there, but I'm not sure
which ones. The storyline over 10 seasons has some HUGE "holy crap"
moments where there is a total shift due to new discoveries, new bad
guys, or new good guys. DON'T watch the newer episodes while you are
watching the older ones and watch them all in order if you want to
really appreciate those moments in all their glory.

Alot of shows have "jump the shark" moments that kill the show, but
Stargate's done very well with taking those wild plotlines and making
them part of a legitimate and good storyline. At the end of either
season 7 or 8 they actually shot the last episode of the season with the
possibility of it being the last episode of the entire series so it's a
particularly good cliffhanger. The show actually got picked back up
again after that so the "big ending" for that season set them up for
some huge plot shifts in the following season.
