Drinking responsibly *generally* does not fit in the category of drinking to
excess.

A bit of perspective in my statement: I grew up on a college campus (my
mother was a student), so my experiences in watching people drink, from a
very young age was:
1) my father getting drunk and being beligerent (until she divorced him when
I was 4)
followed immediately by
2) ~12 years spent on campus watching "frat-boys" getting drunk trying to
act cool.

I know plenty of people that can and do drink responsibly; kudos to them.
It's the ones that drink to get plastered (not just once in a while, but
every week, sometimes every day) that I was referring to.
