Yes it was cheap and I was about to apologize. I should have said it a bit differently but the point remains. There is a distinct difference between the two. > and you'll never know if it can be better will you....that choice was made > for you. Which avoids my comment of what I have is more than enough. Bottom line is that we're both arguing from a point of no knowledge unless one of us wan circumcised later in life. I could ask people I know who have converted but its not really a conversational thing. "Hey, is sex better or worse for you since you've been snipped?" > Why is it that these countries all have circumcision rates above 75% > > > > Because circumcision has been shown to reduce AIDs risk and has been > > pushed > > heavily in Africa for these reasons. They are. It's a multi-step program and unlike America, condoms are not as readily available, cheap or even 'respected' > > > > > > > > > While Europe and Asia are down below 25%.....Do you see a theme..... > > > > Do a correlation with the population growth and/or religious observance > in > > Europe and you may have something. The medical community is split on the necessity of the procedure. > Since this country's main religions believe it's proper, it's acceptable > to > hack on an infant. No, its not all about religion. Mainly, mostly, higher percentage, etc. but not all. Your statistics may be true but there is no where near enough information in them to draw any conclusion, let alone that its only religion. But your "hack on an infant" statement tells me that no argument I ever make will change any part of your opinion. It's too extreme. > One thing has me puzzled though.....since I'm not a believer in a superior > being, from what I remember being told, God made us in his image. For Jews it is the sign of the covenant between us as a people and God. For other religions the reason may differ. And if we go with your logic we should never change anything about ourselves as it is changing the image of God we were made in. There are religious sects that reject medicine on that basis alone. No Jewish sects though. For us life trumps every law except for three. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;192386516;25150098;k Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:257824 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
