I am not at all surprised by any of this, but the big distinction is that Obama is the "Change" and "Hope" guy, which we now know is a line of political rhetoric of Clintonian quality.
And hell, I don't even care about that, it is, after all, how politicians get elected. Let's just be clear that if someone is voting for Obama based on his message of "change" and "hope", they are being snookered. Me, I'm not voting for Obama because I like McCain and Obama is a socialist who is going to saddle me (and loads of other people on this list) with an effective 60% tax bracket. Please note this: Obama wants to make all income subject to FICA withholding, so if you make more than the current FICA cutof, your taxes are going to go up. That is not a tax on the rich, it is a huge, socialist, redistribution of income from working professionals to retired people. Don't we do enough of that already? At the end of the day, Barack Obama is John Kerry or Jon Edwards- an educated, well meaning socialist who believes that government is the answer to all of our problems. All this other stuff is just window dressing.
