He has no illusions about the workings of government. As you noted, he
graduated top of his class at Harvard f-ing Law School.

His voting record tells a different story.

I prefer to espouse my own ideas, thank you very much. I happen to agree
more often than not with some of the people on Fox (Charles Krauthammer
mostly, but not all the time), but I hardly parrot the "party line" like,
say, a political operative for Obama might, lol.

Anyone with his on-paper profile that can beat out Hillary has got the

I disagree. Fixing the economy? The dude is a socialist, end of story. His
entire political career (such as it is) demonstrates antagonism to free
markets.

And the big lie here is that anyone can "fix" anything in Washington.
Democracy has worked pretty much the same way since ancient Athens in the
5th Century BC. No one is going to "fix" anything.

McCain tried to play fair in 2000 and got Bush-whacked. By 2004, he decided
he would stick it out until 2008 for his shot. Now that he has his shot, he
is going to play the game the way it is supposed to be played, just like
Obama is.

As I have said, Obama is a decent guy, but he isn't the guy to lead the
country right now.
