The report was scheduled for release, from the start, for right before
election time. Of course it could be an October Surprise. Was everyone
just supposed to ignore the fact that an ethics report was coming out
about the newly announce VP candidate right before the election?

Did it not occur to McCain that he might have a problem having a VP
embroiled in an ethics investigation right before the election?

That's like saying that we need to toss Ted Steven's trial because I
mention that if a guilty verdict is announced in the next 2 weeks, it
would be an October Surprise.

I understand your reasons for dismissing the content of the report. I
disagree, but whatever. I don't have any clue how you can say that it
wasn't McCain that turned this into an October Surprise by picking
Palin. But I guess its not really an October Surprise. No
Surprise...it was already scheduled...before he picked her. Duh. Can't
believe the gall of the Democrats for looking at a frickin' calendar
and noticing that October is right near November.
