Hi-points are garbage, straight up junk. I know it's cheap, but honestly you can do a lot better as cheap. You can get a cz-52 chambered in 7.62 x 25 that is reliable and has great ballistic and wound characteristics.
To be honest though, you don't find many decent pistols under the 3-400 dollar range these days.
