Yet, methods of dog training or child rearing are not subjects where a
central theme is professing that method, theory, or faith - and
converting others to it.  Some people will do that anyway on their
own, some won't.  But to be a good Christian you are REQUIRED to do
so?

How many dog training methods aren't "really good" unless you walk
around convincing others they should do the same thing?

It's a very useful tool to build this requirement into the faith,
don't get me wrong.  I think it was smart of the creators of the
religion to put this in.  In a world of many competing religions it's
important to build mechanisms into your own that ensure it's survival.
 Scientology certainly has this built into it, with star-power.  So do
many MLM systems.

...but that's why they work...
