No it wasn't a joke, it was an analogy comparing the courtyard to a
parking lot. You do realize that the possibility exists that the
reason Jesus was angry was the these money changers were encroaching
on sacred areas? You weren't there, and neither were those who put
forth their interpretations in Wiki. The book says he went into the
Temple so your argument that he didn't is pointless.
