And as usual Wingbag is speaking out of his nether regions, and his spin is totally without merit.
There is a Catholic Church and a Jewish Temple closer to Ground Zero than this Mosque would be. I am fairly certain the Catholic Church has had a nativity scene every Christmas for the last nine years without anyone objecting. The proposed location for the Mosque was formerly a Burlington Factory Outlet and a shoe store exists there now. Verizon, The Gap, and numerous stores will be back in the mall which is being rebuilt as part of the new complex. Not quite Walmart, but close and I've heard no objections. There are also topless bars, liquor stores and numerous other businesses within the two block are between actual ground zero and the Mosque location. Also, I suspect that whatever gets built on the site of the former World Trade Center will become as much of a tourist trap as Disney World. After all, they are building it back for commerce, not as a memorial. I wouldn't mind having the Kleenex concession for all those summer patriots with their fake tears who will be visiting. I find that much more disrespectful to the memories of those who died than a Mosque, which is by definition a place of prayer.
