actually, I forgot that I did a writeup of my dev setup. Granted, this is focused on Ruby, but add in Railo using nginx as a reverse proxy and it will do CF easily. This was from when I got my new mbp. From new install to "ready to develop" took around 45 minutes. Mysql took some time to compile. Also, all my dot files and vim plugins reside on dropbox so it was simply making symlinks to get it back to my custom config.
