I will agree that Motown as more than a label, I will even agree that
when he was with the Jackson 5 he was 'Motown', but I disagree that
any of his solo albums, regardless of what label they were released
under, fits the 'Motown' sound.

I would also disagree that every artist that recorded an album under
the Motown label fit into the 'distinctive style' Motown was known
for.
