I am currently studying counterpoint theory using Gradus Ad Parnassum
by Johann Joseph Fux. This is the same book that Bach, Mozart, Haydn
and Beethoven used for study. From what I've learned I would conclude
that all current music is based on this work, or at least the theories
described in this work.

So perhaps it is all Fux anyway.
