I am glad it is somebody, is all I can say.

I mean -- Darrell Issa isn't exactly my kind of guy either -- look where he
is on the Church vs contraception thing -- but thank *God* he put an end to
all the cute stuff that was going on about "we don't understand the
internet but we're going to regulate it anyway because our campaign
contributors say so..."

I mean, I am sure the legislation is bought and paid for and they are going
to try to get it through the Senate yet, but at *least* these people shamed
them into working on having a better rationale than *that*

Zoe Lofgren is another one who thank the Christ said how can you have a
hearing about the internet and refuse to listen to any internet engineers?

It's scary that so much is hanging on a few people who seem to be acting on
principle of all quaint things, but I am grateful they are there...
