He went to the wrong house and, when he could not explain himself to the satisfaction of the homeowner (he did not speak very much English) the homeowner shot and killed him. The homeowner claimed that the student was making some kind of threatening gestures (of course, he was just trying to explain what he was looking for) and was not charged with a crime.
