Yes but what quality of life?
If we kill off several hundred species, if we cannot afford to feed
ourselves?
When tigers, lions, rhinos, polar bears, shark , Tuna and others go extinct?

The earth will go on. Even if a asteroid obliterates life on the planet,
the earth will go on. World without end, Amen.
What isn't so certain is that WE will go on.

But how are you so certain that one of those species that is killed off by
global warming will not be us?
And even if we do survive, what quality of life will your children and your
grand children have?
