While your information is what the media and the left would have you believe. Hospitals must treat you by law. Federally medicaid and medicare cover millions, and states have additional prograns in many cases. We are also among the highest levels of charity contributions, which contribtes as well.
Your Scandanavian idea will never gain roots here. Those countries are socialist, the real kind. Their tax burdens are insane and our constituency will never allow it. There are very real problems with health care, but the government hasn't been the answer yet, and I seriously doubt it ever will. Too much money and too many companies and corruption in our legislature. The pharmacutical industry alone throws millions of dollars at making sure they get their way. I don't know what the answer is, but this certainly isn't it.
