$.62 a cup isn't a bad price for k-cups. I'm not crazy about the taste of keurig coffee but I use it often for convenience. If you have a Whole Foods or Wild Oats nearby that roasts beans regularly, that would be the way to go and grind before brewing.
BTW: ( http://www.keurig.com/customer-service/brewer-registration-and-support/frequently-asked-questions ) These brewers allow you to adjust the pre-set temperature of 192°F down by 5 degrees for a temperature range of 187-192°F.
