You first paragraph, I completely agree with, I think these days there are not many who would (I would hope). However I have a question on the second paragraph (and for the others that say that).
******Note this next sentence is not meant to be directly pointed at Hatton or anyone else********** If its okay with you for them to have equal rights what are you afraid of having your kids learn about them? Could it be that as a society we are not yet completely comfortable with the issue thus people might be afraid there kids might become (or are, not getting into the Larry, Kevin discussion) gay? Public respect for not making out, and touchy feely stuff is not appropriate for kids, it doesn't matter what their orientation.....but what is there to be afraid of to have kids learn about that. If you want your kids to grow respecting people and everything about them, by not teaching them about gay people when they learn about Man and Women, you are indirectly telling them its wrong.
