What I mean to say is how do we know he is advocating relationships with
young boys in his book, unless we have read it? Otherwise surely it's just a
second hand opinion? I do feel generally there's a tendency to leap to
conclusions about things before having all the facts. For example, there are
people suggesting this man should be publicly flogged, but have they
actually read the book?

Apart from anything else, it's a subject about which there is plenty of
strong feelings but very little educated opinion. Of course it's an emotive
subject, and I understand why people feel strongly about it, but a book in
itself is not a bad thing.....I doubt that someone who wasn't a peadophile
would read this book and decide to become one. I've read Mein Kampf
recently, but that doesn't mean I condone Hitler's actions. The fact remains
though that he did what he did, and I think it's important to try and
understand how such a thing could happen.

but if we know the book is about a man who advocates intimate relationships
with young boys, why do we really need to read it to form an opinion?

What ever arguments he gives in the book, how can he justify what he
preaches?

Has anybody actually read this book? Only surely if not none of us are in a
position to judge it. I learnt a long time ago to form my own opinions about
things......
